Dean’s Recognition Award Nomination
The purpose of the Center is to provide technical and professional information to help ACA Fellows develop and strengthen their innovative pharmacy practice programs.
During 1991, the ACA Foundation established a fund to honor the Dean of a College of Pharmacy for his or her outstanding service to community pharmacy practice.
Criteria for selection of the recipient of this award include:
- Participation in activities of practitioner organizations
- American College of Apothecaries
- National Community Pharmacists Association
- American Pharmaceutical Association
- Other national pharmacy associations
- State associations
- Local associations
- Serving as an officer of the above listed organizations
- Encouraging students to favorably consider independent pharmacy practice
- Supporting the development of student chapters emphasizing independent pharmacy practice
- Encouraging students to participate in clerkships, externships and special projects in independent pharmacy practice
- Encouraging faculty to develop externship and residency programs in community pharmacy practice
- Encouraging recent graduates to consider residency programs in community pharmacy practice
