George Malmberg Scholarship for Compounding Excellence
How Do I Apply?
Eligibility: Student Pharmacists or recent graduates (received PharmD in prior 36 months).
The ACA Research & Education Foundation’s George Malmberg Student Scholarship for Compounding Excellence will be awarded on the following:
- Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the ACA Research & Education Foundation Scholarship Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in an independent compounding pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.
- Academic Achievement: Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration and will be measured using college transcripts.
- Demonstrated Interest: Scholarships are awarded to students based on career goals and objectives and established interest in independent compounding pharmacy as a career option.
All applicants must:
- Fill out the Scholarship Application below. Incomplete applications may be summarily disqualified from consideration.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the term that the scholarship is awarded or have received a PharmD within the past 36 months.
- Submit a letter from a faculty member or college advisor familiar with the your qualifications OR a letter from a pharmacy owner or manager, or an ACA or ACVP Fellow or Member.
- Personal Statement of up to 500 words outlining your academic and professional accomplishments and goals for the future. This statement should also detail your demonstrated interest in pharmaceutical compounding and how your selection to receive this scholarship will allow you to achieve your career goals. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS RESEARCH PROJECTS, PUBLISHED ARTICLES, ETC.
Note: Applicants may only receive this scholarship one time. Family members of ACA Research & Education Foundation Officers or ACA/ACVP Officers are not eligible to participate in the program.
The ACA Foundation may award two (2) George Malmberg Scholarships annually.
