Student Pharmacist Scholarship Award Criteria

All student pharmacists who are ACA or ACVP student members
are eligible to apply for ONE of the ACA Research & Education Foundation Scholarships per academic year.

Scholarship Award Criteria

Currently we have the following scholarships available:

The George Malmberg Student Scholarship for Compounding Excellence will be awarded on an individual basis and is non-transferable. Each recipient will receive a complimentary registration to one Compounding Training Course (excluding the Comprehensive Sterile), of their choice, held at the ACA National Training Headquarters. Approved travel and lodging will be provided to attend the course.

Note: Registration for the compounding course must be made within six (6) months. The course is not redeemable for cash.

The ACA Research & Education Foundation’s George Malmberg Student Scholarship for Compounding Excellence will be awarded on the following:

  • Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the ACA Research & Education Foundation Scholarship Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in an independent compounding pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.
  • Academic Achievement: Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration and will be measured using current college transcripts.
  • Demonstrated Interest: Scholarships are awarded to students based on career goals and objectives and established interest in an independent compounding pharmacy as a career option.

Application Process and Information

Eligibility

All student pharmacists who are ACA or ACVP student members are eligible to apply for ONE of the ACA Research & Education Foundation Scholarships per academic year. The student pharmacist must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the term that the scholarship is awarded. Note: Student pharmacists may only receive this scholarship one time, but may also receive a travel grant one time as well.

Children of ACA Research & Education Foundation Officers or ACA/ACVP Officers are not eligible to participate in the program.
