Over 50 golfers braved the wet and windy Alaskan weather on July 8 to participate in the 2nd Annual Klouda Classic Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Bernie Klouda Memorial Student Scholarship Fund. With a tee-off time of 6:30 p.m., golfers were able to play well into the evening thanks to the long mid-summer daylight. Before the tournament, golfers and guests enjoyed Brew & Brats at the Anchorage Golf Course, as well as a putting contest to win a Scotty Cameron putter.
On Friday night, golfers and guests bopped, jived, and swung to rock-n-roll classics at a “Dancing to the 50s” Dinner sponsored by AmeriSource Bergen at the City Diner in Anchorage. A silent auction added to the fun and funds raised for the Klouda Classic.
