George Malmberg Scholarship for Compounding Excellence
The American College of Apothecaries Research and Education Foundation is awarding up to two (2) George Malmberg Scholarships for Compounding Excellence.
The George Malmberg Scholarship for Compounding Excellence is awarded by the American College of Apothecaries Research and Education Foundation to an individual with a demonstrated interest in pharmaceutical compounding and independent pharmacy, who shows leadership qualities, extra-curricular activities, and a high level of academic success.
George Malmberg (1949-2013) was an icon in the compounding pharmacy profession, a friend and beloved mentor to many who lead and will lead the industry. He was a passionate advocate for the rights of prescribers and pharmacists to develop customized medicines for people and animals. He was generous with his time, money and talent, frequently leading efforts to defend the legal rights of compounding pharmacists and patients who need access to personalized medications. This scholarship was established in his memory by his wife, Lucy Malmberg, RPh, FACA, FACVP, as a way to continue George’s commitment to the future of compounding pharmacy.
Each recipient of the George Malmberg Scholarship for Compounding Excellence will receive a complimentary registration to one Compounding Training Course (excluding the Comprehensive Sterile), of their choice, held at the ACA National Training Headquarters. Approved travel and lodging will be provided to attend the course.
